CSF '11-12:  Sat out a redshirt season but practiced with the team every day.

TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY: Sammy Yeager is a transfer from TCU where he averaged 9.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the Horned Frogs in 2010-11... he will have to sit out the 2011-12 season and have one year of eligibility remaining.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE: First-team All-North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference selection as a sophomore in 2009-10 at Weatherford College in Weatherford, Texas, just west of Fort Worth... averaged 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists... third leading scorer in the conference... shot 56 percent from the floor and 47.7 percent from 3-point range... had a high of 34 points including six 3-pointers in a game vs. Collin County Community College.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time first-team all-district selection at Modesto High School for Coach Don Wallace... ranked as the No. 97 guard in the nation coming out of high school... averaged 29 points as a senior and earned Modesto Bee Player of the Year honors... as a junior averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 5 assists for a team that was 28-3 overall and 14-1 in league play.

PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 4, 1989, in San Jose... mother is Dorthy Wright of Modesto... has three brothers -- David, Gabriel and Jacob -- and a sister, Krystle... communications/African studies major... enjoys playing tennis... related to famed test pilot Chuck Yeager... played travel ball for the Bay Area Hoosiers... credits his mother for most influence on his basketball career.
